I found an interesting article on Alex Jones's "Prison Planet" website that concerns Google and the way we search for information.

Instead of using the typical search strength of a particular answer, this new feature will draw “facts” from places like Wikipedia for historical information, CIA World Factbook for geopolitical answers, the World Bank for economic facts, Freebase for information about people and other predetermined sources.

Sure, most would argue that Wikipedia does a pretty good job through its open-source format to nail down basic facts. However, the CIA and the World Bank are organizations with agendas sometimes counter to the truth, and making them the authority on facts gives them tremendous power to shape public knowledge.

So what does this mean? It means that The Powers That Be (TPTB) have more opportunities to spread their disinfo and their so-called "facts" while other, more independent sources for information which are dedicated to the truth are buried towards the end of the search results where hardly anyone is going to see them.

If the CIA and the World Bank are our main sources of information, then the only "facts" that we are going to see are the "facts" that they want us to see. This is a great opportunity for the CIA and the World Bank to keep us in the dark.

My suggestion? When you're searching for something on Google, don't only stick to the first couple pages of the search results. Many informative websites are pushed towards the end of the search results as it is. If you head towards the last few pages of the search results, or even the middle you can find some very informative websites that aren't under any influence by the TPTB.
