I am a massive fan of brainwave entrainment music and create brainwave entrainment music myself.

The programs that I use to create my brainwave entrainment music are Sbagen, Audacity and Neuro Programmer 3.

Sbagen and Audacity are excellent freeware programs.

Sbagen is probably the best as it offers an incredible amount of flexability but it is a DOS program that uses coding to create the music. It is actually quite easy to learn the code, and is fun to play with but is better suited for someone who has the patience for trial and error.

Audacity is another great program that is much easier to use. Its a good program to start with. You can create binaural beats simply by creating two mono tracks and then on each mono track, create a sine wave at slightly different frequencies. Alternatively, you can use a plugin called "Binaural tones with surf 2" which allows you to ramp the beats. The plugin "Isomod" is also a great plugin if you want to create isochronic tones.

The other program that I use is Neuro Programmer 3. It is a great piece of software and is very easy to use, but costs around $80. I am happy with my purchase, but even after spending the money on Neuro Programmer 3, I find myself using Sbagen and Audacity more often and those programs are free.

Anyways, the track that I am going to share with you today is called PMS Relief and I made it with Neuro Programmer 3. Please don't be put off by the name. I just called it "PMS Relief" because I use it to relieve my... *cough* ...PMS symptoms. I get terrible PMS and this is quite a powerful track.

Not only can it be used for the relief of PMS symptoms, but it is great for insomnia as it uses low delta frequencies, reduces anger and irritability and works as a mild pain reliever, especially on headaches and lower back pain.

I have used a mixture of binaural beats and isochronic tones in this track because although isochronic tones bring on brainwave entrainment much faster than binaural beats, they are not as effective on the lower frequencies and that is when binaural beats are more effective.

The track starts at 15hz, ramps down to 7.83hz, then to 3.6hz, then 0.9hz, then 0.5hz then ramps back up to 3.6hz. The carrier frequency used is 90hz.

Because binaural beats are used in this track, stereo headphones are required.

For those of you who are not familiar with brainwave entrainment music, it is best to meditate while listening to the music to get the strongest effect. Not everyone meditates while listening to brainwave entrainment music (when I first started writing this post I was listening to the track that I am about to share with you, but had to stop because I couldn't concentrate) but I recommend it. All you need to do is remove all distractions, find a comfortable position to sit or lay in, close your eyes and try focusing on the music and try not to let your mind wander. It can be difficult to just focus on the music at first, but the more you do it the easier it gets.

Do not listen to this track while driving or operating heavy machinery. I honestly don't know why someone would want to listen to brainwave entrainment music while driving or operating heavy machinery but I am sure there are people out there who would, so the disclaimer is here. Just don't do it. Brainwave entrainment music is incredibly hypnotic and will put you in a trance-like state.

Also, if you suffer from epilepsy or seizures then you need to consult your doctor before listening to brainwave entrainment music. The only problem is, your doctor probably has no idea what brainwave entrainment music is. Still, the repetitive beats in brainwave entrainment music could possibly bring on a seizure.

The track that I am about to share with you goes for 45 minutes. It's a long track but is very pleasant to listen to and relaxing. You will feel a sense of mild euphoria by the end of it and if you suffer from insomnia, it is a great track to listen to before trying to go to sleep.

The track is hosted on SoundCloud.
